VetDS is currently looking for a customer facing Senior Engineer based in the Raleigh/Durham area who can deliver technical solutions to our portfolio of valued customers.

Primary responsibility of the Senior Engineer:

  • Installation and configuration of NetApp hardware and software products.
  • Implementation of backup and restore, disaster recovery, storage consolidation, etc.
  • Optimization including upgrades, performance monitoring and system audit tasks.
  • Communication with management.
  • Operating Systems: UNIX and Windows systems administration functions including domain structures, file systems, disk partitions, mounts, quotas, and general security.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables
  • Customer service focused while providing technical guidance to resolve business problems

Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ experience installing and implementing NetApp products in a customer facing role
  • At least 5 years’ experience implementing technology solutions at customer managed facilities
  • Proven track record of training customers on the NetApp hardware and software technologies
  • Experience with consulting and design of NetApp technologies at an Enterprise level

Desired Skills:

  • VMWare installation experience; specifically with NetApp solutions/technologies
  • Cisco UCS
  • NTP

Required Certifications:

  • NetApp Certified Data Management (NCDA)

Desired Certifications:

  • NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE)
  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)

Travel:

  • The Senior Engineer position will require 50%-75% domestic travel
